
In addition to the HK$5 million prize money, winners receive a flight ticket to Hong Kong and the chance to work with leading scientists in their field of study at one of our top universities. Applicants from Southeast Asia, mainland China and around the world can begin to apply for the prize starting March 1, with the first round being open to Southeast Asian residents.

BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE Board (Board) is the highest decision-making body of THE PRIZE, which is responsible for reviewing and interpreting the articles of THE PRIZE Charter; suggesting important scientific research fields for THE PRIZE; appointing members of Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team; and setting requirements of nominating experts. The Board will also make independent judgments and objective evaluations on candidates’ scientific and technological innovation achievements and their transformation, and on the social or economic value generated.
The BOCHK STI PRIZE Board is made up of representatives from government agencies and private sectors, as well as academics and researchers. The Board will select the final award winner from the shortlist of 10 winners in each category. The Board’s decisions are final and binding.
